The members of the PSAK office take the oath
A PSAK statement released here said the function was chaired by Jammu and Kashmir Association of Private Schools (PSAJK) Chairman Ghulam NabiVar and in the presence of other district officials, including senior DIET Javid Iqbal Wani, the president of the EJAC Mir Fayaz, the president of the Federation of traders. KupwaraShowkatMasoodi, General Secretary of the Association of Lateef Masudi Coaching Centers, and others.
He said the oath was taken by the PSAK district organ where Nazir Ahmad Malik was sworn in as district chairman, Farooq Ahmad Pir as vice chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir as general secretary, Muhammad Ashraf Baba as Chief Advisor, Zahoor Ahmad as Treasurer, Muhammed Jaffar Dar as Publicity Secretary and GH Masoodi as Organizer.
The statement said that in addition to three councils – the Academic Council, the Sports and Events Council and the Public Relations and Grievances Unit have been formed for which the directors have also been appointed.
He said Abdul Rashid Sofi was appointed director of the academic council, Sheikh Parvaiz as director of sports and events and BA Shah as director of public relations and the grievance cell.
The statement said that an executive council was also formed, consisting of the entire district, 13 zone presidents and three directors.
He said that the Var, while congratulating the new leaders, praised the contribution of the teaching community and the school administration during the turbulent period of the past two years.
The spokesperson quoted Var as saying it was heartening to see how teachers and school owners worked hard to provide education to students during the toughest times and in the most difficult places, remote areas from Kupwara to the urban centers of Srinagar.
He said the Var has fully supported the PSAJK to the board members to strive to bring quality and values-based education to the students of Kupwara.
Principal DIET KupwaraJavid Iqbal and EJAC President Kupwara Mir Fayaz also addressed the meeting.
