Bhopal: A Madhya Pradesh high court bench issued a notice to a prominent school in the city in response to a petition by a teacher who alleges her services were terminated after complaining of corruption in the purchase of a laptop and other gadgets for school and sexual harassment by a board member.
The court, when sending notice to the school administration, said that the school administration’s decision to terminate the teacher’s services would be subject to the court order on his request.
The petitioner stated that she has been a computer teacher at the school since 2007. An order for the supply of laptops, tablets and other gadgets has been placed with a school in Ranchi. After the supply was not made 13 months after the order, she filed a complaint with the school administration. She also contacted the bank which was also involved in the matter.
The two bank employees with whom she spoke spoke to her in a language with a sexual connotation. she alleged. When she told the school administration about it, they did nothing, she said. Additionally, a member of the school’s board of trustees began sexually harassing her, her petition states.
The woman alleged that she tried to file a complaint with the police, but the cops did not register a case “under the influence of the school”.
On January 17, 2022, the school board served notice on him, requesting a response within two days and on January 21, 2022, his services were terminated.
Following the preliminary arguments of the applicant’s lawyer Aditya Sanghithe bench Justice M.S. Bhatti issued a notice to the school principal and stated that the decision to terminate the petitioner’s services would be subject to the court order on the petition.
