Parents sue Lincoln County School District over optional mask policy – WSOC TV
LINCOLN COUNTY, NC – Parents are taking action in Lincoln County against the school district for failing to impose masks inside classrooms.
The Lincoln County School Board voted less than two weeks ago to make masks optional starting Wednesday. Now some parents have taken matters into their own hands in an attempt to reverse this decision.

A judge will hear these arguments Tuesday afternoon based on the lawsuit filed on Monday. The costume basically says that children forced to go to school without a mask are in danger of serious illness or death.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of the families of 13 students aged 5 to 14. These students are on individual learning plans and their names have been withheld for fear of negative reactions for taking a stand.

The lawsuit generally talks about the argument for masks in school. It says the number of new cases in August was at its highest level since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also says the school board ignored sound medical advice when it voted to end mandatory masks in school.
The lawsuit is asking a judge to force the school board to revert to mandatory masks in schools.
