Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): The leadership of Dimapur Mission Upper Secondary School (DMHSS) held a pre-celebration of Teachers’ Day at the community church in DABA town on Saturday, exclusively with teachers without the physical presence of students due to the restriction of COVID-19 SOPs.
While appreciating teachers’ contribution to nation building, Reverend I Wati, Pastor DABA encouraged the teaching community to be patient in molding students with different characters. “You not only teach a prescribed curriculum in school, but more importantly, you have a huge impact on hundreds of students by your lifestyle and your characters,” urged the Reverend Teachers. As he took the time to pray for the teachers, the pastor reminded the teachers that the teaching profession is noble and honorable and that they are people chosen by God.
The Chairman of the DMHSS Governing Board, K Temjen Jamir, congratulated the teachers by presenting them with prizes and gifts in recognition of their commitment and special attention to students, especially during such a difficult time. The director of DMHSS, Alemtushi, presented the school’s academic report and Meyamongla said a word of gratitude to the school administration on behalf of the teachers. The program was led by the school’s governing board member Dr Maongkala Longchar and Dr Bendangjungshi delivered the invocation and Reverend Wati Kichu delivered the blessing.
